Recently, LEES won a procurement tender project for a well-known generator set rental company, which required the configuration of two dual-frequency integrated diesel generator sets with a main power of 1500kVA@50HZ and 1687.5kVA@60HZ as rental power sources.
It is reported that these generator sets will be widely used in various social and economic activities such as engineering construction, transportation, communication hubs, mines, railways, field construction, factories, hospitals and large events.
Unit Difficulties
The customer required the 1500kVA generator set to be housed in a standard 20' container to minimise the size and therefore the cost of transport, installation, use and maintenance. By common market standards, a generator set of this size would normally require a 40ft container. Therefore, how to fit a 1500kVA 'big block' into a 'small size', and how to achieve a highly integrated design, has set a very high standard for the LEES R&D team.
Based on the principle of "customer first", the LEES team set up a special project team despite the difficulties.
